Tree of Life for the Tz’utujiil Maya is called the “Cannonball Tree-Couroupita Guianensis.” There are many traditional uses for the plant in treating hypertension, tumors, pain, inflammation, and in treating the common cold, stomachache, skin conditions, wounds, malaria, and toothaches. 

This Tree of Life is a water-based tree, where the initiated and trained Tz’utujiil shaman uses this water as way for assisting their participants into being weaved into the flow of wholeness and interconnectivity to the flow of the Heart of Love and the Heart of Joy-of which all possibilities open for the one who receives this water. Only one drop transforms the energy pattern of the individual into this flow of the Heart Behind Everything.
